Storm Delays – Picking Conditions June 28 to 30

storms delay the blackberry crop in North Georgia

Picking Conditions UPDATE!!!

These bad wind and rain storms have really taken a toll on our berries the last couple of days, knocking a lot of the ripe ones onto the ground. 😦 There are still berries to pick, but it is not nearly as heavy and fun picking as when they are on really good.

We will still be open, but if you have the option to wait until next weekend to visit, we would recommend waiting.

Also, just a note that we will not be offering picking appointments Monday and Tuesday next week, leading up to July 4th. This is to allow the berries to come on good and provide a better picking experience for everyone next weekend.

We hope to see you soon and thank you for your patience and understanding.

    1. Hi Deb!

The berries will stay on for another week or two. We’d love to see you! We are open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We sometimes allow picking on other days, if you call ahead.

If you’d like to order pre-picked berries, please give me a call. Kate Walker (770) 262-6316.
